The Sea Does Not Ask Your Name

The sea does not ask what you own.

It does not care how important you looked inside an office.

It touches the feet of the rich and the lost with the same cold water.

It takes every secret we whisper near it and answers with the same endless voice.

Perhaps that is why we go there when we are broken.

For one moment, we are not our titles, our failures, or our fear.

We are simply alive, standing before something that refuses to judge us.
