We Are More Than Our Worst Day
Updated: 1 hour ago
People like simple definitions. Good person. Bad person. Success. Failure. Strong. Broken. A label is easier to carry than the full weight of a human life.
But nobody is only the worst thing they did, the worst thing done to them, or the worst day they survived. Accountability matters. So does context, growth, and what someone chooses afterward.
We should not use complexity to excuse repeated harm. We should use it to leave room for transformation where transformation is real.
The same mercy belongs to us. A mistake can require repair without becoming our permanent name. We can face what happened and still believe that the next choice also counts.
