Hello, there! I think you are new here.
Before starting our journey, let me introduce myself.
My name is Viola, but I'm Purpleisweird on social media. As my username suggests, I like to think I'm weird, out of the box. And I have a hint you might be just like me.
I'm a full-time dreamer and a part-time creator.
They say we can only succeed on the internet if we have a niche, I say that it would be an insult to limit myself to a specific field.
Labels never fit me and never will.
My website reflects the big mess my head is, and I hope you will feel at home here.
I can't wait to share my life with you, and I hope you will share yours too in the comments.
Enough talking, on board!

How to use hashtags on Instagram to gain followers

Updated: Jun 13, 2018

It might sound tricky in the beginning and there will always be people who hate them but a hashtag can be helpful when it comes to gaining new followers and increasing likes.

What is a hashtag?

It's a tag used on social network that categorizes content in order to make it easier for the customer to find messages with a specific theme. Please notice that people can only find posts from public profiles only.

Why should I use them?

Either if you have a personal account or you are a brad, hashtags will help you increase in popularity and audience engagement.

How many hashtags should I use?

You can use up to 30 hashtags on an Instagram post but if you put all those in the description it won't look nice. If you want to put them in the description don't use more than five.

How hide hashtags in comments?

Here is a tip to use them without making your post look unprofessional

  1. Use a text editor to write and save your hashtags.

  2. Add 5 dots, with each dot on a separate line.

  3. Add all your hashtags below the fifth dot.

  4. Copy this message before you post your post.

  5. As soon as the post is posted, paste the message into a COMMENT on your photo

Now as you can see in my Instagram @purpleisweird post,

the second comment of my old post (the one with the hashtags) is hidden!

Now what hashtag should you use?

It depends on the type of picture you are posting.

Here is a list of the most common topic with their #tags; copy and paste them in the first comment of your picture as explained before.

Have you managed to hide and use hashtags?
