A busgirl with a secret enters a powerful restaurant family to ruin them. Then she falls for the heir. That is the engine ofRevenge Is A Dish, the first vertical drama from the UK production company Lime Pictures, now streaming on Epis.

Lime announced its cast September 15, 2026. Kharla Corley plays Paige, whose revenge plan brings her into the Rochat restaurant; Luke Delaney plays Deveraux, the head chef and intended heir. Tamara Wall and Jessica Paul are also in the cast. The series is produced by Julia Carstairs and directed by Angelo Abela.

Why a continuing-drama producer fits this format

Lime has spent decades making television built around relationships that keep changing. Vertical drama compresses that skill. Instead of waiting a week for a family secret to land, the writer may have only a minute or two to make a betrayal legible and leave a reason to tap the next episode.

The restaurant setting does useful work. It puts Paige close to the family while giving her an apparent reason to remain in every room. Work creates proximity; proximity creates temptation. The romance threatens her revenge at the exact place where the plot needs her to stay.

Abela says the production required fast storytelling, strong hooks and a high volume of dramatic scenes with limited rehearsal. That is a practical observation for anyone imagining vertical as television with the edges cropped away. The schedule changes the writing. The material must give actors playable turns quickly, and each location has to earn several scenes.

What to watch

The launch matters because an established producer is bringing soap experience to a dedicated microdrama app, rather than merely repackaging an existing series. WhetherRevenge Is A Dish holds viewers is a separate question; Lime has not provided audience figures in its announcement. The more useful question for writers is whether Paige's conflict keeps producing new choices after the premise is clear.
